Lower Back Hands Tattoo Removal
This customer isn’t a customer, they are an Avalon Laser & Beauty Clinic member of staff, having a 10 year old hands tattoo removed from the lower back. The tattoo was done when she was 18 and there was no reason why the design was chosen. It was an impulse and she actually wanted a butterfly but somehow ended up with hands, she can’t explain why. Now we are removing the black tattoo because every time she is on holiday people ask if they are her children’s handprints. She finds this embarrassing as she doesn’t currently have children and has no explanation of why she has that tattoo. She hasn’t decided if she wants to lighten it enough for a cover up or try and remove it completely.
Whenever a staff member undergoes treatment in our clinic (whether it be laser tattoo removal, 3D Lipo or IPL hair removal) we provide them with the full customer experience from start to finish. This enables us to examine and scrutinize ourselves to ensure we are offering the highest possible award winning experience.
Tattoo Removal Video (above)
The tattoo removal video shows the second laser tattoo removal treatment being carried out on the hands tattoo. When having treatment customers will hear a cracking noise where the laser is targeting the ink.
After 1 Tattoo Removal Treatment
There has been a slight change in colour as the ink has broken down evenly. The amount of fading can depend on the ink that was used and the depth of the tattoo. This is why the amount of sessions can vary from person to person.
After 2 Tattoo Removal Treatments
We left 12 weeks following the first laser tattoo removal treatment due to a sun holiday. As she would find this tattoo harder to cover throughout the holiday she waited for the tan to go before we treated again. We advise no sun exposure 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. You can now see significant fading with the black ink looking more grey in colour. This tattoo is healing really well. She has been using Lynton Light Soothe between sessions to ensure faster healing and protecting.

It would be seen as biased if I told you how amazing this clinic is and how knowledgeable my therapist was – as I am a member of staff! What I can say is by having the treatment done myself it gives me a better understanding of the process both during treatment and aftercare. One of the first questions people ask when having a consultation for laser tattoo removal is if the treatment itself is painful. I’m not afraid to admit that I have a pretty low pain threshold so if I’m able to have it done I’m pretty sure anyone can.
